These two Bald Eagles have become regular visitors along the Niagara Parkway near Queenston Heights. Submitted by Bob Fotheringham.
“I was enjoying a spring ride on my Sobi Hamilton bike and came across what is left of the Peace Memorial School, named as a tribute to those who died in WWI” writes Gene Wasik. “Part of the school was used as a military recovery ward”.
I took my grand-dog, Jedi, to the Spa for her first birthday. She is a Blue Great Dane. She weighs 125 pounds and believe it or not, is still growing! Submitted by Helen Manning.
Bert Knol captured the spectacular sunrise we had on the morning of March 31st from the Aldershot side of the Burlington Bay.
“On a recent trip down to Niagara Falls, we stopped in at Dufferin Islands to visit the birds”, writes Frances Maas. “This Tufted Titmouse was happy to pose for me in exchange for some bird seed”.
“Looking out my front window on Hamilton Mountain at about 6:30 a.m. on April 5th, the partial eclipse of the moon was just visible”, writes Keith Clark. “The moon was rapidly setting and 10 minutes later it was no longer in view”.
“With having such a long winter, these apple blossoms give us renewed hope that spring is just around the corner – not sure what corner, but around the corner.” Submitted by Marjorie Hoekstra, Dunnville.
